UnitedHealth is constantly on the lookout for more physician groups to purchaseÑlarge or small, primary care, specialty, or multi-specialty. Its most recent big deal (January 2021) was the announced purchase of Atrius Health, the largest independent physician group in Massachusetts. UnitedHealth is expanding the reach of its Òon demandÓ commercial healthcare product, Bind Health. The product, sold to self-insured groups, allows members to add more coverage to the plan on an as-needed basis during the coverage year.
