Toledo hospitals have felt financial pressures from the COVID-19 pandemic. While largely consolidated, the market's remaining independent hospitals have emerged as acquisition targets, with McLaren Health acquiring St. Luke's Hospital. More Toledo providers are looking to collaborate with high-performing providers inside and outside of the market, including the University of Toldeo Medical Center and the Toledo Clinic and Mercy Health teaming up with Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.
