DRG’s Extrapolated Worldwide Coverage is the first and only evidence-based data set of epidemiological forecasts for key gout patient populations covering 171 countries and more than 99% of the global population, delivered in an interactive dashboard-style download.
Use the Extrapolated Worldwide Coverage dashboard to do the following:
- View 10-year forecasts of the diagnosed 12-month incident cases, diagnosed 12-month prevalent cases, diagnosed one or more acute events 12-month prevalent cases, diagnosed three or more acute events 12-month prevalent cases for all 171 countries, stratified by region and World Bank income status.
- Aggregate country-level estimates into region-level estimates, according to user preference or as required by regulators for orphan drug designations.
- Visualize global correlations between disease risk or patient population size and key indicators of market opportunity such as GDP per capita and healthcare spend per capita.
- Generate and export global heat maps of disease risk or patient population size.

Joseph Granato joined Decision Resources Group in 2012 and previously worked on both Market Access and Global Market Access products. Joseph is currently responsible for forecasting the prevalence and incidence of disease populations throughout the world. He is also tasked with identifying at risk populations and developing new epidemiological methods used to predict overall population health.
He received his M.P.H. from Des Moines University where he worked on several population health projects including the delivery of continuing medical education on tick-borne diseases. He also holds a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee. Prior to his time with DRG Joseph worked with the Monroe County Health Department on the surveillance of reportable diseases including Dengue Fever.
Abey John is a medical graduate with a Master’s in Public Health and has been associated with DRG since September 2015. He works with a global team of epidemiologists in performing systematic reviews of assigned diseases and prepare forecast models for clients. He also is involved in producing analyses for pharmaceutical drug developers on the descriptive epidemiology of major drug indications in mature and developing markets and have an overall experience of three years working in different healthcare sectors across the country.
Prior to joining DRG, Abey had been working with Jhpiego (an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Medical University) in implementing Family Planning Health Programs in India with collaborating with the Government of India. He also has worked with a grassroots level NGO as a health team manager which worked for the benefit of the rural population living in the foothills of the Himalayas.
