The post-ACA healthcare marketplace continues to evolve, consolidate and push toward value-based care in fits and starts. And these changes’ influence on market access is multi-layered and complex. Health insurers, employers, providers and suppliers are adapting to new power dynamics and new ways to identify and pay for value. But healthcare is still local - each market’s local healthcare infrastructure shapes the strategies in use to deliver value within that local market – whether it’s through integrated delivery systems, ACOs, medical homes, and/or specialists contracting under shared-risk payment models.
In this role, she is responsible for analyzing U.S. national managed markets, health plans and the impact of healthcare reform. She has more than 20 years of experience analyzing healthcare, health policy and Medicaid.
Ms. Wade produces the MCO Analyzer product covering major U.S. national trends in the commercial, Medicare and Medicaid segments. She also produces select reports for Physician Payer Dynamics.
She has been with DRG's HealthLeaders-InterStudy brand for 11 years; prior roles include those as an editor and associate director of Health Plan Analysis. Ms. Wade holds a BS from the University of Tennessee. Previously, she was an award-winning newspaper journalist covering government, politics and health policy and was Director of Communications and Policy for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance.
