David Eckford Consultant Decision Resources Group

One of the greatest challenges in developing an assessment of the opportunity size for early-stage assets is factoring in market access assumptions. By integrating our forecasting and market access strategy expertise with DRG’s wealth of data across markets and TAs, we work with clients to develop scenarios that provide deep insight into the potential future access landscape and implications for in-house and target assets.”

David Eckford is a Partner with DRG Consulting, and has been with DRG for over 8 years.  During that time he has led over 150 new product strategy projects in fields such as opportunity assessment, commercialization strategy, marketing strategy and segmentation, market modeling/forecasting and epidemiology.  He has experience across a broad range of therapeutic areas including oncology, rare diseases, hospital-based products, and many others.

David brings over 15 years of life science consulting experience to DRGC.  In that time, he has worked with all of the top 10 global pharmacos but has also supported a broad set of mid-sized companies and pre-revenue biotech firms, as well as device and diagnostics companies and other industry players.

Prior to joining DRG, David spent 5 years as a project manager with McKinsey & Co., where he focused primarily on the medical device and biopharma industries leading projects including opportunity assessments, go-to-market strategy, growth and portfolio strategy development, and organizational strategy.  He began his career at L.E.K. Consulting.
