Health plans in Missouri owned by WellPoint Health Networks, Inc. will likely increase in the next year, according to the latest issue of the Kansas & Missouri Health Plan Analysis from HealthLeaders Research.

WellPoint's forecasted growth will be driven by the fact that prior to its merger with Anthem Inc., the lion's share of revenue for both companies was generated from the states that now comprise WellPoint's central region -- Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
