Jim McDermott joined Decision Resources in March 2001, and he was given a broad charter to reposition the company's consulting business. Under Jim's leadership, the unit has transformed itself into a more strategically oriented practice that uses a collaborative model, drawing on the expertise of Decision Resources staff members from various other departments.

Prior to joining Decision Resources, Jim had an impressive career in strategy consulting. As a vice president of SRI Consulting, he established a Boston office and, over a period of three years, turned it into a highly regarded pharmaceutical practice with a staff of 35. At Nervewire and CSC Index, he was a principal with broad responsibilities in process redesign and strategy development. Jim holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Tufts University.

Kevin Pang joined Decision Resources in August 2000 as the senior director of the company's largest product unit, and he has played a key role in developing Decision Resources' global strategy. He led a process that streamlined the report production process, established therapeutic-area centers of excellence in Decision Resources' London office, and enhanced the quality and depth of coverage in Decision Resources' Pharmacor and DecisionBase products. Kevin will play a key leadership role in providing greater support to consulting and new product initiatives.

Prior to joining Decision Resources, Kevin was a senior scientist at Ontogeny, where he led the diabetes and neurobiology teams. Earlier he worked at the Genetics Institute in the Embryonic Growth and Regulatory Protein Group. He holds a B.S./B.A. from U.C. Berkeley, a Ph.D. in physiology and biophysics from Harvard University, and an M.B.A. from Bentley College.
