InterStudy Publications, a division of Decision Resources, Inc., announces the release of its HMO County Surveyor 6.0., a database that reports managed care statistics at the county level. Users of the data can identify how populations receive managed benefits and monitor which firms are providing these services.

"A valuable aspect of this product is the ability to view the competition among managed care companies by county," said Lance Wolkenbrod, HMO project manager for InterStudy Publications. "A user of this data can find out which plans are present in a given county and what the level of competition is within that area."

The HMO County Surveyor database is the first product to provide nationwide HMO enrollment at the county level. The database is used by leading firms to analyze county-level HMO market share by total HMO enrollment, and by Medicare enrollment and Medicaid enrollment. Data is available for purchase by individual county, state, or for the entire nation.
