HealthLeaders-InterStudy, a leading provider of managed care industry intelligence, finds Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas has once again won the contract to be third-party administrator for the largest insured group in Texas-state employees.
Only this time, the insurer promised to reduce fees by more than a third over a three-year period, according to the latest Texas Health Plan Analysis.
This recent win is especially notable because projected Blue Cross administrative fees for the three-year period of the contract will decline by $79 million, to $137.5 million.
