The Use and Acceptance of the Meta-Analysis of Survival Outcomes to Support Health Technology Assessment Submissions in the UK

National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines recommend the use of indirect comparison and network meta-analysis (NMA) when gold standard evidence from head-to-head randomised controlled trials (RCTs) is unavailable. In the third of our DRG investigative series, we assess the use of a novel method for the evidence synthesis of survival data (meta-analysis of survival curves) and determine whether this technique has been accepted by NICE.
