They facilitate discovery and development of new innovations, and help researchers and organizations advance science, secure funding, get to market faster and fundamentally help bring ideas and solutions to fruition.

Job Summary:

Clarivate is seeking a thoughtful, bold leader who is not afraid to explore potential opportunities in the obvious and non-obvious places to build awareness around the DRG™ Data Analytics & Insights (DAI) product suite and lead efforts to secure significant revenue generating partnerships. This leader will drive new and existing relationships in adjacent areas outside of our core Life Sciences focus area, by leading the charge into financial services, other consulting firms, professional services firms, contract research organizations and academia. This is a senior level role within the DAI group, reporting to the SVP, DAI.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Building Relationships

  • Engage in relevant discussions with external companies, firms and potential partners that can purchase, consume and utilize DRG™ data, analytics and insights
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with senior executives from companies that seek and utilize clinical, RWE, bioinformatics and/or data science
  • Cultivate and develop partnerships that drive significant revenue and customer growth
  • Brainstorm, develop and promote creative use cases for DRG™ data in any industry vertical
  • Liaise with partners to resolve customer issues, communicate needs and create synergies
  • Use ethical sales techniques and serve as the public face of Clarivate and DRG™ during external networking events, conferences, workshops, etc.

Drive and Close Sales Pipeline

  • Collaborate with internal DAI colleagues and executives on evaluating new initiatives, opportunities and deals for strategic alignment
  • Assemble and present effective presentations to C-Level audiences
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable partnerships and strategic objectives
  • Drive the end-to-end deal/sales process from initial prospecting, pipeline development, use-case discussions, technical review, proposal creation, contract drafting, negotiation, implementation and post sales satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Science discipline or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the Life Sciences, MedTech, Academic Research or Financial Services data/analytics industries
  • A strong network of relevant industry contacts with a demonstrated track record of working with executives from companies that focus on bioinformatics, data sciences and/or analytics
  • Strong portfolio of previous professional work with a clear understanding of your role and contributions on each project
  • Confident self-starter with a proven track record of relevant successful business development and/or large-scale deal making experience
  • High emotional intelligence and above average interpersonal skills focused on building trust and ongoing relationships while persevering through deal cycles
  • Familiarity with data analysis services (i.e. consulting) and enterprise software solutions
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills including the ability to translate technical jargon and content into easy to understand language
