Associate, Corporate Development Description
Corporate Development is an exciting, dynamic function at Decision Resources Group (DRG), focused on key partnership, acquisition, and strategic initiatives across the organization to drive growth and value. The team plays a core role in executing DRG’s ongoing corporate strategy, identifying and executing collaborative opportunities with disruptive technologies, and business models within the health care industry. These opportunities help drive large strategic initiatives for the firm, including expansion into key growth markets and accelerating critical product or service initiatives. As an Associate within the team, you will be working with key cross-functional and leadership stakeholders on growth initiatives and developing external collaborative relationships with other firms.
The Associate position is a role for someone who is highly detail-oriented, resourceful and proactive, exhibits outstanding judgment and professionalism, and thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. This individual will also be involved in strategy, market landscape evaluation, company due diligence, deal analysis, deal execution and post-merger integration. A strong understanding of DRG and building deep, collaborative relationships internally will be critical to success. We are seeking an individual who has experience in corporate development, corporate or product strategy, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, product management, or a similar field. The right candidate should possess a strong understanding of DRG’s core business functions and products, can comfortably interact with target companies in our pipeline, and can foster and maintain the necessary internal relationships for operational and post-merger integration efforts.
We are seeking a highly self-motivated and independent individual capable of managing diverse responsibilities, including:
Responsibilities: Work with cross-functional teams to execute short- and long-range strategic initiatives for the business Conduct company due diligence and deep-dive research on key focus markets Manage partnerships and M&A deal pipeline Develop and maintain business relationships with potential partners or acquisition targets Drive deal execution and coordination between key internal and external stakeholders Provide financial analysis, long-range forecasting, and analysis studies associated with potential partnerships and M&A deals Coordinate and collaborate with product, legal, finance and other teams within DRG to support the successful completion of transaction Requirements 2-3 years in corporate development, corporate or product strategy, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, product management, project management, strategy or operational implementation, or another similar field Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred but not required Proven track record of independent performance and leadership across a suite of initiatives Structured thinker able to quickly analyze and distill key issues for senior management Prior experience in life sciences and/or healthcare and IT strongly preferred; experience in technology and data companies also a plus Financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis experience required Comfort working on multiple initiatives in a highly dynamic environment as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure and/or in ambiguous situations is crucial Benefits
