We are seeking a self-directed, responsible, and enthusiastic Ops Lead to join our dynamic, fast-growing team in Toronto and Boston.
The Healthcare Claims and EHRs Project Lead is responsible for day-to-day leadership of a portfolio of projects (3-4 at any given time), guiding and supporting the analysts executing this portfolio, providing the first line of validation, and for managing project progress with the project management team. The Ops Lead must be:
Capable of understanding data, manipulating data, analyzing data, and delivering data and analyses, Capable of managing (senior) analysts within the context of individual projects, Capable of preparing and QCing client-ready deliverables.
It is expected that an Ops Lead’s time is allocated in the following way: 50% execution/coding/validation; 30% project managing and guidance of analysts; 20% other DRGA responsibilities.
An Ops Lead is typically an analyst who has excelled at project execution.
Responsibilities: Project leadership, management, and guidance Guide and manage a team of analysts for the duration of a project Measure project progress and outputs against expected outcomes and benchmarks Flag and resolve issues in project outputs following QC and validation Execution Apply a mix of quantitative problem-solving skills and qualitative research to solve the questions of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Collaborate with both clients and fellow team members to implement solutions. Be an expert in data (insurance claims, electronic health records), method (statistics, data visualization), and domain (healthcare policy, market dynamics). Requirements Work history: Experience leading data-driven analyses in a project setting for any audience OR 2-3 years executing healthcare data projects for a life sciences, provider, or payer audience (using insurance claims and/or electronic health record data) Education: Background in quantitative sciences or studies with a healthcare focus Data management: Proficiency in general programming languages. PREFERRED: strong proficiency in R or Python. Healthcare data experience: Demonstrated background in using healthcare data in a project setting.
