Vice President, Strategy Execution Description
Decision Resources Group is one of the premier providers of data, analytics, and research to the health care industry. Acquired in 2012 by Piramal, DRG has a strong track record of both organic and inorganic growth and is positioned to become a key partner to health care companies globally as the industry transforms from volume to value focus.
We are seeking a highly-skilled professional to lead the implementation of key strategic initiatives at all levels of the business. The scope of responsibility for the team encompasses developing and implementing strategy in cooperation with business unit leads.
From the top down, DRG is a high-integrity organization committed to doing the right things at all times. DRG team members are actively encouraged to demonstrate the following key behaviors to ensure a positive, collaborative and inclusive working environment, so that people can deliver within their remit but also grow personally and professionally:
Collaboration & Teamwork Positive Attitude Initiative Taking / Change Agent Intellectual Curiosity Bias to Action Solution Orientation Calculated Risk Taking Candid Respectful Feedback Insatiable Resilience Humility and Giving Back Work Life Integration
DRG has a strong people-centric culture, which is underpinned by enthusiasm, a desire to excel, and ethical working principles. A positive work life balance coupled with recognition and reward in line with performance is integral to the retention and development of team members across the group. Industry-leading thought leadership is also high on the agenda, with staff actively involved in publications, conference presentations, seminars and industry training.
The Vice President position is a senior one within the organization and will involve frequent interaction with leaders at the n-1 and n-2 level. The Vice President will have weekly or daily exposure to the COO and CEO of the business, and report into the COO.
The Vice President will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic initiatives and ensuring responsible execution at the business level. Examples of past initiatives in this role have included: analyzing flow of data and data sources; analyzing DRG usage statistics for product platforms; and creating technology governance models.
The successful candidate will be excited by working at the intersection of strategy and implementation. We are a “best idea wins” culture, and this person will be expected both to generate good ideas and to create a forum that encourages other people to do so. You cannot make change in a complex, multi-national business on your own, and you certainly can’t do it simply by writing slides (even really good ones). We are seeking a person who builds coalitions, argues persuasively, listens carefully and brings a process mindset to the implementation of our strategic initiatives. Cultural fit will be as important as hard skills.
Requirements At least 2-4 years of experience at a top management consulting firm An undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution Casework or prior experience in healthcare and/or technology Strong quantitative skills; financial modeling experience preferred but not required Structured thinker able to quickly analyze and distill key issues for a C-suite audience Ability to multi-task and transition across a wide range of projects Excellent verbal and written communicator Proven track record of independent performance and leadership
The position will be based in DRG’s Boston or Burlington office (home office to be based upon candidate’s preference), with some minimal travel (less than 10%) expected.
Decision Resources Group offers a competitive compensation package and medical, dental, vision and life insurance programs from first day of employment. We also offer a 401(K) retirement plan after two complete months of employment.
