Although the sun was slow to make an appearance during this EuroPCR, Paris in the rain is still a great place to be. From the Eiffel tower to my daily breakfast at the Boulangerie down the street (pain au chocolat et croissant pour moi), Paris is one of my favourite cities and this visit was no exception. This was my first conference in Europe, and it had a very different feel compared to conferences I've attended in the US. In the same manner that European cars are more compact and streets are often narrower, the Palais Des Congrès was more compact than conference centers in the US. I really enjoyed the more intimate feel; rather than a stadium-sized exhibit hall, manufacturers booths were set up over several floors, and it made for a more personable atmosphere. From crèpes to frogs legs, I would be happy to return to EuroPCR to enjoy Paris and a well-run conference again!
