Of those physicians visiting pharma websites on their smartphones, 46% reported doing so weekly or more frequently. Dosing information was far and away the resource most sought, followed by disease information, formulary information and patient education materials.

This says that if ever there was a need for mobile optimization, it's now, says Digital Analyst Gary Prakash. And it's particularly important since websites are the top source of drug information from pharma for physicians.

This year's study also contains some interesting new data on physicians use of search, what content they're looking up at the point of care, how patients are sharing data with them, and their practices enlistment in Accountable Care Organizations, among other topics. Insights are available across more than 30 specialties.
