Shahir Kassam-Adams is Chief Strategy Officer for Decision Resources Group. Mr. Kassam-Adams joined the company in 2007 to lead strategy development and merger & acquisition activities across Decision Resources Group. Prior to joining Decision Resources Group, Mr. Kassam-Adams was the executive vice president for Thomson Healthcare, managing Thomson’s $250 million clinical decision support businesses, which included Micromedex, MercuryMD and the PDR. During his Thomson tenure, Mr. Kassam-Adams was also the Chief Strategy Officer for the $1.3 billion Thomson Scientific & Healthcare division and the Interim CEO for the $700 million Thomson Scientific unit. Mr. Kassam-Adams has prior general management experience in the information and publishing industry as well as significant executive management experience in the healthcare industry. Mr. Kassam-Adams received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s Degree in computer science from The Johns Hopkins University.
