In 2008, 7.3 million U.S. adults used online personal health records, while 72.5 million U.S. adults reported being interested in using online PHRs, according to a Manhattan Research survey.
PHR use and interest is up from 2007 when 4.5 million U.S. adults used online PHRs and 71.6 million U.S. adults were interested in using such tools, according to the survey. In 2006, 2.5 million U.S. adults used online PHRs, while 71.9 million U.S. adults expressed interest in using online PHRs.
Results are based on a Q3 2008 survey of 8,714 U.S. adults.
