SUMMARY:
Manhattan Research, a Decision Resources Group company, provides syndicated research and strategic advisory services focused on digital health and marketing trends among consumers and healthcare professionals in 15 countries around the globe. Clients include top pharmaceutical companies, marketing agencies, health and medical publishers and technology providers.

The company is looking for a Director of Operations to take ownership of all aspects of day-to-day company operations to support its aggressive growth strategy for the coming years. This position will report directly to the company president.

Responsibililtes of the position include:

Business Planning

  • Work with company president and management team to identify strategic objectives for the company
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting process
  • Ongoing analysis business performance by product line and by customer; working with sales to identify areas of development
  • Responsible for building custom project pricing model; develop new models for product pricing as needed; consult with sales and research regarding best practices for product pricing
  • Evaluating internal processes and technology; identifying gaps; implementing solutions


Resource management and professional development

  • Discuss resource and professional development needs with departments; assist with recruiting, hiring, and developing staff
  • Assist with resources and staffing requirements across the company; manage contractor budget allocation


Strategic direction

  • Consult with department heads regarding overall company strategy and direction; work with business heads to identify and assess new business opportunities and direction.
  • Developing competitive intelligence on teh shifting marketplace; using insights to inform product development
  • Assessing partnership and product development opportunities


New Product Development

  • Spearheading new product development, including researching new product ideas, feasibility; client demand; product forecast; pricing.
  • Responsible for conducting client interviews in association with lead analyst and/or data team; completing business analysis, leading release-to-production meeting.


Corporate initiatives

  • Identifying partnership opportunities within Decision Resources Group sister companies
  • Managing joint-promotion product relationships with sister companies
  • Managing company involvement and budget allocation for shared services, new product development, operational committee update meetings, other internal initiatives


Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of operational and managerial experience; market research or healthcare industry


Experience Preferred

  • Relevant industry experience desirable
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
