SUMMARY:
Manhattan Research, a Decision Resources Group company, provides syndicated research and strategic advisory services focused on digital health and marketing trends among consumers and healthcare professionals. Clients include top 20 pharmaceutical companies, marketing agencies, health and medical publishers and technology providers.
The company is hiring a Director - Healthcare and Technology Research who is interested in positioning themselves as a thought leader in the digital healthcare space. This position will offer the right candidate the opportunity to gain exposure among key health and pharmaceutical industry stakeholders through client presentations, conferences and industry events, written reports and other client deliverables, and media placements in major publications.
This position also offers direct interaction with client teams, a challenging work environment, the opportunity for advancement and the ability to influence the marketing and strategic planning decisions of global healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating and delivering compelling, insightful presentations to clients based on the company’s suite of syndicated data sets
- Extracting key insights from the data
- Conceptualizing and writing relevant thought pieces and white papers
- Staying up-to-date on technology industry trends
- Speaking as an expert in the digital healthcare space at industry conferences
- New product and research study ideation; developing key questions for research
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responding to client questions
- Responding to press and media inquiries
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and interest in public speaking is a must
- Knowledge of digital media, healthcare and technology spaces
- Industry experience in a related position, such as market research, agency or consulting
- Minimum five years' experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, such as an MBA or another relevant field, is strongly preferred
